Odds are pretty good this fan saw a loss when this was taken. Might that be the reason for the sign? Sadly, probably not.

Times are tough, more makeshift signage.

In case you were wondering, this is an actual book. In keeping with the theme of The Library Bar, they chose to frame the cover of the 1969 book telling the story of Thomas Crapper who, according to Wikipedia, is neither the father of the toilet nor is the word crap derived from his name. He is, however, credited with popularizing the toilet.

I know everyone likes to think of country clubs, yachts, and hedge funds at the mention of Greenwich but there is more to this town than you may realize.
At Bruce Park Grill, home to some very tasty pizza and an old school shuffle board, one can find a tiny bathroom with the creative signage altering seen above. In the true spirit of a sixth grader someone took the time to scratch out the lettering on the hand dryer to read:
Touch Her
and
Place Anus Under Nozzle

Back when I had a job that took me to exotic locations like New Albany, IN, which wasn’t all that long ago, I made a visit to our manufacturing location and when I used the conference room bathroom I just had to take a photo of the newly posted message urging employees to wash their hands, presumably in response to the H1N1 flu virus.
I like the germ graphics and it amuses me to think about the amount of time spent on creating it. I also like the emphasis placed on washing “YOUR” hands, as if you would wash someone else’s hands.

I think it’s fair to say this makeshift sign was not posted by management.

I’ve made fun of signs in English in other countries, this was my chance to make fun of a bathroom sign gone wrong in this country.
PS Taking pictures in a bus bathroom – while at speed on the highway – with an iPhone – is no easy task.

As someone who really is quite inept when learning or speaking another language I am impressed by mutii-linguals, however, you still have to laugh when you see amusing signs in foreign countries.
Not too mention when they are as literal as the sign above. You have to love the Dutch.
